Temas Esenciales: 1984- "Message to my girl" - Split Enz

Nueva Zelanda no sólo es nuestro país antipodas, no sólo es "El señor de los Anillos".. en 1972 en la Universidad de Auckland se constituyó un grupo que se llamó Split Enz. Lo fundó su líder y principal compositor, Tim Finn. Hacían musíca extraña, art-rock medio sinfónico hasta que a finales de los 70, el hermano de Tim, Neil Finn con 18 añitos formó parte de la banda y ..!sorpresa! dió un giro de 180 grados a esos grandes músicos hacia temas de medio tiempo (ni rápido ni lento) que comenzaron a encuadrar en la nueva ola pop mundial. Iniciaron su éxito en 1979 y lo prolongaron con ésta canción epilogo "Message to my girl". Una de las mejores canciones de amor medio tiempo que se han creado. Neil dejo el grupo y formó Crowded House pero esa es otra historia.
